About
The problem it solves Payroll Protocol addresses critical issues in blockchain fund distribution by ensuring privacy, simplifying payroll systems, and enhancing security. It leverages Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to keep transaction details confidential and uses Biconomy for gasless transactions, streamlining the process. The protocol enables the underlying distribution of encrypted funds across multiple addresses, further protecting privacy. It offers a privacy-first solution for payroll management, confidential fund distribution, and anonymous transactions, making it an efficient, secure, and user-friendly tool for managing sensitive financial transfers while ensuring security and simplicity. Additional Features During the hackathon, I added several key features to Payroll Protocol. These included the integration of BICONOMY’s Account Abstraction for gasless transactions, making it easier for users to interact with the platform without worrying about transaction fees. I also implemented the modified Hyperlane infrastructure to securely bridge encrypted data between BNB and INCO FHEVM networks, ensuring seamless cross-chain transactions. Additionally, I enhanced the UI with a more intuitive, user-friendly interface to simplify the payroll process for users, improving overall accessibility and user experience.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into During the development of Payroll Protocol, I faced challenges with ensuring compatibility between BNB and INCO FHEVM networks due to mismatched chain IDs. I resolved this by implementing checks to ensure the correct network was selected before transactions. Another challenge was optimizing Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) for smart contracts, which was computationally heavy. I addressed this by using optimized libraries and offloading some processes off-chain. Integrating gasless transactions with Biconomy also proved difficult, but was resolved through iterative testing and fine-tuning of the relayer interactions.
