    Onchain Affiliates

Onchain Affiliates is a two part program including an affiliate frame and points program allowing users to unlock their influence and monetize their audience.

    About

The problem it solves **Onchain Affiliates addresses key challenges in blockchain marketing & user engagement** **For Projects & Creators:** -**Reduces financial risk:** Only pay for successful marketing outcomes, eliminating wasted ad spend. -**Improves ROI:** Commissions are tied directly to mints and engagements, ensuring cost-effective marketing. -**Expands reach:** Tap into organic, user-driven promotion for wider audience exposure. **For Users:** -**Monetizes social influence:** Earn engagement points by sharing affiliate frames with their network. -**Lowers barrier to participation:** Anyone can become a promoter, democratizing marketing opportunities. -**Aligns incentives:** Users are motivated to share projects they genuinely support. This solution makes blockchain marketing more accessible, efficient, and mutually beneficial for both projects and their communities; solving the problem of high upfront marketing costs, and low user engagement in the blockchain space.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into **During the development of our project, we encountered several significant challenges.** **Limited Wallet Support on Mobile:** **Issue:** Warpcast only supports Coinbase Wallet on mobile devices. **Impact:** With 52% of our users on mobile and only 11% using Coinbase Wallet, this severely restricted transaction completion rates. **Solution:** We're actively exploring ways to expand wallet support and considering developing a custom solution to increase mobile accessibility. **Frame Rendering Problems:** **Issue:** Our OnceUpon frames were not rendering correctly. **Solution:** We iteratively adjusted our Onchain Affiliates Bot, fine-tuning its functionality to ensure proper frame rendering. This required multiple revisions and thorough testing. **Sybil Attack Vulnerability:** **Issue:** We detected attempts at farming points to manipulate airdrop allocations. **Solution:** We redesigned our points system to prioritize high-value actions: -Increased point values for mints and recasts -Reduced point values for likes and comments This adjustment helped to maintain the integrity of our reward system and discourage fraudulent activity. These challenges pushed us to innovate and improve our system's robustness. By addressing the wallet compatibility issue, refining our frame rendering, and implementing a more nuanced points system, we've not only overcome these hurdles but also enhanced the overall quality and security of our project.
