Nexora
Freelance Platform entirely on DeFi DAO AI
About
The problem it solves Nexora solves the trust gap at the heart of every online freelance transaction. When a client and a freelancer who have never met agree to work together, there is no neutral, transparent system guaranteeing fairness for both sides. Centralised platforms like Upwork or Fiverr act as judge, jury, and fee collector simultaneously — charging up to 20% in fees while making opaque, unappealable decisions about disputes behind closed doors. Freelancers face delayed payments and subjective rulings. Clients struggle with vague deliverables and limited recourse when work falls short. Nexora replaces the middleman with a verifiable, trustless stack. For Clients AI-assisted task creation — instead of writing a vague brief and hoping for the best, Nexora's AI co-pilot structures your task into a precise specification with measurable acceptance criteria, milestone breakdowns, and deliverable formats. Both sides know exactly what "done" means before work begins. Funds locked in smart contract escrow — your payment is secured on-chain from day one. No platform can freeze it, redirect it, or charge hidden fees. It releases only when work is verified — automatically, transparently, and on your terms. Verified freelancer ratings — every freelancer's skill level is represented by an AI-evaluated Elo rating, not self-reported experience. You see a verified track record, not a curated portfolio. For Freelancers Guaranteed payment — once you complete work that meets the agreed spec, the escrow releases automatically. No chasing invoices, no waiting on client goodwill, no platform deciding to hold your funds. Fair dispute resolution — if a client disputes your work unfairly, a decentralised jury of qualified community members reviews the evidence and decides — not a customer support agent with no accountability. Portable reputation — your Elo rating and work history live in your ENS identity, not inside Nexora's database. Take your reputation with you to any platform that reads it. For the Ecosystem DAO-governed disputes — contested work is resolved by a community jury using a blind voting system that prevents groupthink. Jurors stake tokens on their verdicts and are rewarded for honest participation, creating a self-sustaining court system with real skin in the game. Newcomer discovery incentives — clients who hire new freelancers earn token rewards, solving the cold-start problem that locks talented newcomers out of traditional platforms. Zero platform lock-in — no company controls your account, your reputation, or your funds. Nexora is a protocol, not a gatekeeper.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Challenges We Ran Into Making the AI evaluator trustless Our first approach called the OpenAI API from the frontend and passed results directly to the contract — anyone could fake an evaluation. The fix was giving the evaluator its own Ethereum wallet that signs every Completion Report. The escrow contract only accepts results signed by the registered evaluator address. A security constraint turned into the core design feature that made the agent real. Preventing jurors from influencing each other We built the dispute screen showing a live vote tally — standard DAO behaviour. Testing immediately revealed the problem: late voters just copy early voters. We fixed this at two levels simultaneously: commit-reveal voting in the contract makes it cryptographically impossible to see others' choices early, and the UI deliberately hides all juror reasoning until after you've committed your own vote. The frontend information sequencing mirrors the on-chain cryptographic guarantee. ENS reputation update costs Writing every Elo change directly to ENS text records on L1 cost more in gas than most task values. Solution: reputation changes live in our ReputationStore contract on L2 (cheap per update), with ENS records updated in batches via a CCIP-Read offchain resolver. Reputation stays portable and readable from ENS — just not updated on every single action.
