About
Why are you participating for Based LatAm? Because we believe we are impacting the ecosystem through education and we want to make Latin America more crypto-native. Our goal is to be recognized as an educational hub not only in Latin America but also in other countries, promoting digital and financial inclusion through knowledge about blockchain, DeFi, and DAOs. We have already organized events across Brazil, strengthening the community and creating new learning opportunities. Additional Features During the Buildathon, we organized an impactful event in São Paulo for 130 participants, featuring panels with industry leaders, networking opportunities, and interactive sessions. Additionally, our live series "State of Ethereum" dedicated an entire month to Staking, where we explained key concepts of the Lido protocol. We also launched a challenge on modular blockchains at Jokerace, encouraging participants to innovate and compete for prizes, thus deepening community engagement in these emerging technologies.
How it's made
What challenges are you focusing on? We are focusing on the challenge of educating communities about blockchain and decentralized finance, as well as increasing Latin America's participation in DAOs decisions. Another challenge is making the technology accessible and relevant to individuals who are not yet part of the crypto ecosystem. How does your submission address this challenge? Our proposal offers high-quality educational content that is accessible in Portuguese, focused on blockchain, DeFi, and DAOs. Through interactive events and live streams, we connect our community with industry leaders and provide a platform for learning and practicing in a collaborative environment. Challenges we ran into One of the main challenges we faced was the lack of accessible and understandable resources about blockchain, DeFi, and DAOs for the Latin American community. To overcome this, we conducted research to identify the key needs and questions of our audience. Based on this data, we developed tailored educational content and organized interactive events that addressed these topics in a practical and engaging manner. Additionally, we struggled to attract participants to our virtual events. To resolve this, we implemented digital marketing strategies, including partnerships with local influencers and promotions on social media, resulting in a significant increase in attendance.
