About
The problem it solves Conventional methods of maintaining medical records have proven to be inadequate in several respects. A primary issue is the inherent lack of transparency in these processes. Paper-based records often suffer from issues related to authenticity, as verifying their accuracy can be challenging. Furthermore, these physical records are susceptible to corruption and unauthorized alterations. Additionally, the fragmentation of paper records complicates the task of maintaining a patient's comprehensive medical history. The advent of Web3 technology, Decentralized Identifiers (DID), and Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZK-proof) technologies has ushered in a new era of enhanced security and privacy for digital documents, including medical records. Patients now have the ability to exert control over who can access their medical records, and healthcare providers can securely access the necessary information without compromising the privacy of their patients.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Here are some basic challenges we faced: 1. Technology Integration: Integrating new technologies like Web3, DID, and ZK-proof into the existing healthcare infrastructure was complex and required significant development effort. 2. Data Security: Ensuring robust data security and privacy was a constant concern, requiring stringent encryption and authentication measures. 3. User Adoption: Getting both patients and healthcare providers comfortable with the new system and educating them about its benefits was a challenge. 4. Regulatory Compliance: Navigating healthcare regulations to ensure our solution was compliant added complexity to our development process. 5. Scalability: As the project grew, scaling the infrastructure while maintaining performance and security remained a continuous challenge
