    About

The problem it solves MedBlock addresses several critical challenges in healthcare data management: Secure Digitalization of Medical Records – It enables the seamless digitalization of medical records while ensuring their integrity and immutability through blockchain technology. Patients and healthcare providers can trust that records have not been tampered with. Eliminating the Need for Physical Records – MedBlock eliminates the hassle of carrying medical documents by providing a decentralized, easily accessible system for storing and retrieving records securely. Advancing AI-Driven Research While Preserving Privacy – By allowing anonymized medical data to be utilized for AI research, MedBlock facilitates advancements in healthcare while safeguarding patient privacy. This opens new opportunities for AI-driven medical innovations. Enhancing Insurance Verification – Insurance companies can leverage MedBlock to verify the authenticity of medical records, reducing fraud and ensuring that claims are based on legitimate, untampered medical history.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into ## Challenges in Building a Large-Scale Model with ZK Proofs ### 1. Fixed-Length Encryption for Strings One of the biggest hurdles was finding an architecture that allowed **strings to be encrypted into a fixed-length format**. This was crucial for maintaining consistency in our zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) computations. ### 2. Large-Scale Integration with CMake Integrating a system of this scale was a **mammoth task**. To streamline initialization and development, we leveraged **CMake**, which simplified the build process and improved cross-platform compatibility. ### 3. Ensuring Privacy on the Blockchain Balancing **transparency and privacy** was a major challenge. We needed to **prevent data leaks** while still allowing doctors to access **critical patient information** securely. This required fine-tuned access control mechanisms. ### 4. Secure Doctor Authentication Verifying doctors without **compromising patient privacy** was complex. We implemented **robust authentication protocols** to ensure only authorized personnel could access patient records while maintaining confidentiality. ### 5. Synchronizing Web2 and Blockchain Data Integrating **Web2 databases** with blockchain records required **careful handling** to maintain **data consistency and security**. We had to ensure seamless synchronization while avoiding conflicts between the two systems.
