LoyalTweets
bridges Twitter (X) activity and Web3 by rewarding
Demo
About
The problem it solves LoyalTweets addresses three critical gaps in current social media and Web3 ecosystems: Problem 1: Fragmented Loyalty Incentives Creators rely on ephemeral engagement (likes, retweets) that cannot be monetized or proven. Brands struggle to quantify genuine influence or reward loyal supporters programmatically. Solution Convert Twitter activity into NFT-based loyalty tiers (e.g., bronze, silver, gold). Enable creators to tokenize their audience and reward long-term engagement. Problem 2: Centralized Reward Systems Traditional loyalty programs are opaque and controlled by intermediaries (e.g., brands, platforms). Solution Use blockchain transparency to ensure rewards are immutable and user-owned. Allow users to trade or showcase NFTs across platforms. Problem 3: Lack of Cross-Platform Interoperability Twitter engagement data is siloed and not easily usable in Web3 contexts. Solution Chainlink Functions securely pull Twitter data into smart contracts. Supabase bridges on-chain and off-chain data for scalable analytics.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Challenge 1: Twitter API Rate Limits & Gemini Integration Gemini’s Twitter API integration initially hit rate limits during high-volume engagement tracking. Solution: Implemented a caching layer in Supabase to batch process tweets and reduce API calls Challenge 2: Avalanche Fuji Testnet Compatibility Chainlink Functions required custom gas configurations on Fuji, leading to failed transactions. Solution: Used Hardhat’s estimateGas to fine-tune gas limits and leveraged Chainlink’s Fuji Faucet for stable LINK token funding. Challenge 3: Supabase-Smart Contract Sync Off-chain Supabase records occasionally mismatched on-chain NFT ownership. Solution: Built a reconciliation script that polls blockchain events and updates Supabase daily.
