    Liquilink

Seamlessly cross-chain yield, lending and bridge

    Demo

    About

The problem it solves Liquilink tackles the biggest pain points in cross-chain DeFi lending and asset management. Currently, users face a fragmented and complex process: switching between multiple chains, manually bridging assets, and handling each step separately. With Liquilink, users can complete the entire journey—from collateralizing on one chain to borrowing on another—in a single, seamless transaction. The platform automatically handles all cross-chain routing and asset allocation, dramatically lowering the barrier to entry and minimizing user error. Moreover, Liquilink solves the notorious “gas problem” in cross-chain operations. Users can instantly receive both the target chain’s native token and the required gas assets when borrowing, eliminating the need for multiple bridges or swaps. This means users can interact with new chains and assets immediately, without any extra steps. All of this is unified in a modern dashboard that gives users a clear, real-time view of their assets, liabilities, staking rewards, and risk factors across all supported chains. Risk alerts, fee breakdowns, and earnings are fully transparent, empowering users to make informed decisions and manage their DeFi portfolio with confidence. By abstracting away the technical barriers and making cross-chain lending as easy as single-chain DeFi, Liquilink unlocks a new level of usability and capital efficiency for everyone in the ecosystem.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into One of the most significant challenges in building Liquilink was designing a smart contract architecture that could safely and efficiently orchestrate cross-chain lending flows. Coordinating collateralization, borrowing, and asset transfers across multiple blockchains required careful planning to ensure atomicity, security, and user protection against edge cases like partial failures or network delays. A key hurdle was how to guarantee that users’ collateral on the source chain would always be properly locked and that the corresponding borrowing and asset delivery on the target chain would succeed or fail atomically. This involved designing robust cross-chain messaging and fallback mechanisms, as well as handling gas and fee management across different networks. Another challenge was optimizing the user flow so that users could obtain both the borrowed asset and the necessary gas on the target chain in a single transaction, without manual intervention or multiple steps. This required deep integration between the smart contracts, relayers, and the frontend, as well as careful state management to keep the user experience smooth and safe. On the frontend, translating these complex backend flows into an intuitive, real-time interface—while handling all the edge cases and error states—was also non-trivial, but the main technical hurdles were definitely in the contract and protocol design. By iterating on contract logic, simulating edge cases, and working closely between backend and frontend, I was able to deliver a seamless and secure cross-chain DeFi experience.
