    About

The problem it solves Most creators raising funds online rely on Web2 tip jars like Linktree or Ko-fi. These platforms: -Take a high cut of every payment (5–12%) -Control supporter data and audience relationships -Keep transactions opaque with delayed or restricted payouts Creators lack a native, trust-minimized way to accept tips, showcase work, and keep their earnings without sending fans off-platform. Our solution: The LID Mini App gives every creator their own onchain fundraising page inside a mini app. Fans can: -Watch videos, listen to music, view photos, read FAQs -Send an onchain tip in seconds (no wallet setup friction) -Support creators on Base L2 where gas costs are fractions of a cent Benefits for creators: -Keep 99.5% of every tip with no hidden platform cuts -Own your audience with wallet-native supporter records -Transparent and permanent payment history onchain -Censorship resistant with no third-party holds or freezes Smart Contract Address(es) DonationRouterV1: receives a tip, forwards 99.5 % to the creator, sends 0.5 % to the platform fee wallet [https://basescan.org/address/0xCae67A5aBEA5FCA2A06CeA3e7f0eD01B38B94C09](url)

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into A big challenge was building the content block system inside the Farcaster mini app so creators could showcase videos, music, photos, and FAQs alongside their tipping feature. Farcaster’s mini app environment has strict layout and rendering limits, so embedding rich media without breaking the UI took multiple iterations. We solved this by creating a modular widget system that loads media efficiently and adapts to different screen sizes, keeping the experience smooth while still feeling native to Farcaster. We also needed creators to see tips and supporter activity in real time. We added a Base transaction listener that pushes updates instantly, so new tips appear without a page reload.
