    About

The problem it solves Participatory budgets, as well as other Town Hall decisions, are currently far from being as collaborative as they should be. Currently, citizens have limited options to participate. They can either cast their ballots by post, which involves going through difficult and cumbersome procedures to certify their identity and voting rights, or they must be physically present to have an impact on the outcome. Unfortunately, if they happen to be on holiday during the voting period, they have virtually no chance to participate, as choosing to give up their holidays to exercise their right to vote is clearly an unfavorable choice. However, after the implementation of our app, citizens no longer need to endure these aforementioned issues. They can conveniently cast their votes from home or anywhere in the world (or even off-world), as long as they can prove their voting right through their wallet and the use of blockchain technology and KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This app can be easily scaled and adapted for use in various communities, such as neighborhoods, companies, or shareholder meetings, where identity certification may be required to ensure the eligibility of voters.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into As three newcomers to web3 and blockchain, we encountered our initial challenges while trying to grasp the true essence of this technology. Understanding the organization of the hackathon, including the tracks, sponsors, and services, proved to be quite daunting. Additionally, we faced obvious issues when implementing various aspects of new technology within the React environment. Furthermore, our attempts to develop our dummy project only added another layer of challenge, not to mention the limited time available for project development.
