Financial Management App
Your personal finance tracker for better budgeting and spending insights.
About
Why are you participating for Based Africa? I am participating in Based India to contribute to the growing Web3 ecosystem by developing a decentralized application that empowers individuals to manage their finances effectively. This project aligns with the mission of Base to create user-friendly tools that facilitate financial literacy and independence. Additional Features During the hackathon, I added the capability to display a breakdown of expenses in a table format, allowing users to see where their money is going in detail. Additionally, I implemented a function that updates the total income, total expenses, and balance dynamically, providing real-time insights into financial health.
How it's made
What challenges are you focusing on? I am addressing the challenge of financial mismanagement and lack of awareness about personal budgeting within my community. Many individuals struggle to keep track of their income and expenses, leading to financial stress and insecurity. This app will help users gain better control over their finances. How does your submission address this challenge? The Financial Management App offers a user-friendly interface for tracking income, expenses, and overall financial health. By visualizing spending patterns through charts and tables, users can easily identify areas for improvement in their budgeting. This tool has the potential to significantly reduce financial stress and enhance users' understanding of their financial situation, leading to better financial decisions. Challenges we ran into One significant challenge I encountered was integrating the Chart.js library for visualizing expense data. Initially, I faced issues with rendering the chart correctly. To overcome this, I carefully followed the documentation, ensured that the library was properly included in the project, and tested different chart configurations until it worked as intended.
