We believe we’re building the missing Base's link that will connect and accelerate the next wave of blockchain adoption. **Enter FFUNDER** FFUNDER is a crowdfunding platform and freelance marketplace built to support Web3 projects on Base. Fully EVM-compatible, the platform is designed to attract users and developers from across the broader blockchain ecosystem. It enables project creators to raise funds and connect with skilled professionals, while supporters can back projects and earn rewards. Freelancers can showcase their skills, get hired and collaborate. FFUNDER bridges Web2 and Web3 by providing an accessible platform for traditional entrepreneurs to explore blockchain technology. **Crowdfunding Platform:** - Enables projects to raise funds in a safe compliant environment. - Projects of all sizes can be funded via both their community's and backers/supporters. - Supporter Protection Program, Safeguards both creators and supporters by holding funds in a smart contract escrow, releasing funds to agreed project milestones. Any supported EVM network can be activated in real time via the FFUNDER admin dashboard. How it's made
Challenges we ran into **Challenges we ran into** We encountered several challenges along the way, but gave ourselves the necessary time frame to solve them. The main one was controlling the projects potential. We had so many thoughts and ideas and striping these back was essential. We also faced difficulties with, comprehensive testing and managing suggestions for added features, reminding ourselves we are building MVP not the 'field of dreams'. Addressing security concerns added further complexity to the process. We solved this by taking a different approach to dApp building. Rather than have one central contact that manages the entire blockchain experience, we took a new approach that lets each project launch their own contract on the Base blockchain. This allows funds to be sent directly to the project and removes FFUNDER as a money transmitter. We simply stand in the middle and watch to make sure the project is delivering on milestones as agreed. Then funds are released. If at any time a project fails we have the option to return the funds back to the supporters. We call this the 'Supporter Protection Program'. FFUNDER has no access to any supported funds.
