The problem it solves Eggs.fun was an experimental project we built to explore the playful side of mini apps. While most mini apps today focus on trading or financial utility, our goal was to show that the same framework can also deliver lighthearted, community-driven experiences. The result was Farcaster’s highest-engagement application to date, proving that mini apps can spark curiosity and joy just as effectively as they drive transactions. With Eggs.fun, we demonstrated that mini apps have the potential to create moments of fun, surprise, and social connection at scale. How it's made
Challenges we ran into Fighting bots, and converting in game actions to snappy, quick on chain actions. Thanks to Base's consistent efforts in reducing latency and improving throughput we were able to host a miniapp game that can process hundreds of thousands of transactions quickly.
