Turning Stubble into Gold: Empowering Farmers and Fighting Air Pollution

    Demo

    About

The problem it solves Stubble burning is a major contributor to air pollution, about 9.8 million tonnes is burned annually in states of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. This pollution leads to approximately 1 million deaths yearly. Also, Indian farmers typically earn a low average monthly income of ₹5,000 to ₹15,000. Our solution aims on providing farmers with an income source through stubble utilization and promoting eco-friendly ethanol production, reducing fossil fuel dependency and creating job opportunities.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into I faced several challanges in making it to an end ,some of these are:- 1.Technological Innovation: Developing efficient and cost-effective methods for stubble utilization, such as converting it into eco-friendly products or biofuels, requires significant technological innovation. 2.Logistics: Implementing a system to collect, transport, and process stubble from farms to processing facilities or markets involves logistical challenges, especially in rural areas with limited infrastructure. 3.Stakeholder Engagement: Garnering support and cooperation from farmers, government agencies, environmental organizations, and other stakeholders is crucial for the success of the project but may be challenging due to differing interests and priorities.
