    About

The problem it solves This month, hundreds of real people used Dimes in San fFansisco, and there's a reason why!. There's been web3 events for years, but many of them are all using different platforms, or not even accepting crypto at these events. Pay in Dimes is a event ticketing platform for both businesses and customers that makes web3 ticketing simple and open to everyone. The platform offers a simple checkout experience for web3 users, utilizing onchainkit components. For event owns there's a whole dashboard which shows essential event metrics and the ability to fully own your own data and export all of the onchain transactions for your event. Even owners fully own their contracts, earnings and Dimes is not a middleman. Roughly 250 people total were at this event and used Dimes ticketing software.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Our main challenge was create contract factories (essentially a contract that makes all the other contracts). Each event has several contracts that all work together to make it easy for event owners to spin up new events, and take payments with not having to do several contract writes and have terrible UX. Making all of these contracts was hundreds of hours of work + auditing. The next most difficult part was making it so that you could get a QR code from your tickets, and more importantly all fo that anti-cheat / exploits we had to solve for since tickets are onchain and can change hands at any time.
