    About

The problem it solves The Problem It Solves DeFi is complex, boring, and lonely. Lack of engagement: Most DeFi platforms are transactional. Users perform swaps, staking, or LPing with little to no emotional reward or community interaction. Steep learning curve: New users often struggle to understand how to use DeFi tools, track their performance, or feel confident in their actions. Zero social layer: DeFi lacks the social and motivational layer that keeps people coming back—no group coordination, no fun, no rewards outside of financial ROI. No feedback or progress loop: Traditional platforms don’t provide XP, achievements, or any sense of progression—users can’t see their growth unless they manually track wallet metrics. What DeFi RPG Agent Fixes Turns DeFi actions into a game Adds XP, NFT badges, and a leaderboard for every DeFi interaction. Brings DeFi into group chats Uses XMTP to let users play and coordinate inside secure DMs and chats. Onboards and motivates new users By turning wallets into RPG characters and visualizing progress, it makes DeFi more welcoming and sticky. Adds repeat engagement Daily quests, team challenges, and visible rewards give users a reason to come back.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Making XMTP feel like a real game engine XMTP is great for messaging—but turning it into a fun RPG layer? That was tricky. I had to figure out how to send in-game updates like XP boosts and level-ups without spamming the chat or confusing users. Tracking DeFi moves in real time was messy Watching for swaps, stakes, and LPs on Base wasn’t as simple as I thought. I played around with tools like Covalent and The Graph to get reliable data, but syncing that with the player experience took some trial and error. Balancing game mechanics without making it boring Too little XP? Players get bored. Too much? It feels fake. Designing the right reward flow—so that users feel their growth but still want to come back—was honestly like tuning a game loop. Cramming a mini app into a chat window Showing things like leaderboards and quests inside a group chat isn’t straightforward. I had to get creative with formatting, conditional rendering, and keeping the UI clean without breaking the flow. Wallet headaches (yeah, that again) Getting Coinbase Wallet to connect smoothly, sign things when needed, and link users to their in-game identity across chat, backend, and smart contracts—definitely took some patience. Deciding what goes on-chain vs off-chain Some things (like XP updates) didn’t need to be on-chain right away—but NFT rewards definitely did. Finding the right balance between fast UX and verifiable game assets was a constant tradeoff. Keeping it all in sync I had backend logic, chat events, user wallets, and the blockchain all talking at once. Making sure everything stayed in sync—especially for real-time group quests—was a bit of a juggling act.
