DECENROD
Decentralized EHR with Health Insurance synchronization using Polygon
About
The problem it solves One of the biggest problem in the health care management system is to secure the patient’s data from the data leakage and breaches in centralized EHR system. During COVID 19- pandemic the data breaches from the Indian Delhi server were approx. 100+ million records. Centralized EHR is not a tamper-proof and it is vulnerable. Centralized EHR's are not trustable in the organization's ability to protect patients health information. The Human trafficking (rare blood groups and organs) are increased.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into In DECENROD, for the citizen verification, the use of health card registration with the help of an Aadhar card and PAN card is required. Here we have landing pages: hospital, patient, admin, and other organisations. The patient records are connected with hospitals, doctors, pharmacies, laboratories, health insurers and various organizations with polygon blockchain. All of this are in inherited algorithm deployed via smart contracts. The patient only have the permission to grant and revoke the access to their EHR, and all of these records are stored and retrieved in the IPFS through the IPFS API. Also, DECENROD has the unique feature of Health Insurance synchronization, where only the patient, hospital, and health insurers are all involved in the authorization of healthcare data. Insurance claims are approved by the hospital and the insurer, including timestamps and medical data. All permitted documents contain digital signatures that may be audited at any moment without the need for a third-party dispute resolution service. The health insurance claims are quick and efficient in emergency situations.
