    Community Yield Pool

Earn yield, automatically support public goods

    About

The problem it solves ## Problem Public goods funding is fragmented and manual. Users must make separate transactions to donate, missing opportunities to contribute while earning yield. ## Solution Community Yield Pool **automatically donates 10% of generated yield to public goods** on every operation. Users simply deposit assets—yield generation and funding happen seamlessly. **Before:** 6 steps, multiple transactions (deposit → earn → calculate → withdraw → donate) **After:** 1 step (deposit → automatic donations) ### Benefits - Zero friction: No manual donation process - Automatic: Donations happen on every operation - Transparent: All donations tracked on-chain - Secure: Built on Aave v3 - Standardized: ERC-4626 compliant ### Impact Creates a perpetual funding mechanism that scales with assets, transforming DeFi into a force for sustainable ecosystem growth.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into ## Major Challenges & Solutions **1. RPC Timeout Errors:** Public endpoints were unreliable. Solution: Multi-layered error suppression + using wallet's RPC when connected. **2. Token Availability:** Testnet DAI faucets unavailable. Solution: Created Demo Mode for seamless testing—turned out perfect for hackathon demos! **3. State Management:** Page navigation and transaction flow had race conditions. Solution: Functional state updates and proper cleanup in useEffect hooks. **4. Complex Transaction Flow:** Two-step approve/deposit sequence was confusing. Solution: Created state machine with `canDeposit` helper and clear approval tracking. **5. UI Polish:** Needed hackathon-ready presentation. Solution: Complete redesign with animations, multi-page flow, and demo mode toggle. **Key Learning:** Every challenge made the project stronger. The solutions improved both code quality and user experience.
