Token-based Rewards System Introduce a custom token that rewards users for task completion. This creates an incentive mechanism to encourage consistent participation and can integrate with a broader decentralized ecosystem. 2. Notifications for Task Deadlines Add email or in-app notifications to remind users about upcoming or overdue tasks. This feature ensures better productivity and time management. 3. Role-based Permissions Implement multi-role support within the contract, allowing different levels of permissions (e.g., Admins can create and assign tasks; Contributors can complete tasks). This structure ensures tasks are assigned properly in collaborative environments. 4. Decentralized Identity Integration Integrate with Decentralized Identity (DID) systems to allow users to prove ownership and activity without exposing personal data. This feature ensures both security and privacy. 5. History and Analytics Dashboard Add an analytics page to show historical data on completed tasks, pending tasks, and participant contributions, giving deeper insights into productivity trends. 6. Mobile Wallet Support Enable mobile wallet integration (e.g., MetaMask mobile, WalletConnect) to allow users to interact with the platform from their smartphones for greater accessibility. 7. How does your submission address this challenge? # How Our Submission Addresses These Challenges ## Transparency and Accountability * Our blockchain-based checklist ensures that every task added or completed is recorded immutably on the blockchain. This makes it impossible to alter or delete records, ensuring trust and accountability between collaborators or project participants. ## Financial Inclusion * The project can easily integrate with decentralized wallets like MetaMask, allowing users to interact with the platform even without access to traditional banking. We aim to enable peer-to-peer reward mechanisms, making the system accessible to anyone with an internet connection. ## Trust in Remote Collaboration * By recording task completion on the blockchain, collaborators and teams can work remotely with verifiable proof of progress. This eliminates the need for third-party verification or disputes over task completion, building trust among remote teams. ## Incentivization through Digital Rewards * Our solution can be extended to offer token-based rewards for task completion. This motivates users to contribute consistently and fairly, creating an ecosystem where effort is rewarded transparently through blockchain-based incentives. ## Data Security and Ownership * Every task and its status is decentralized, meaning no central authority can modify or manipulate the data. Users maintain full control over their tasks and contributions, ensuring that data integrity is never compromised. Challenges we ran into # Challenges We Ran Into ## Smart Contract Development and Deployment * Writing a bug-free smart contract was challenging due to the need for security and gas optimization. Even small mistakes could result in vulnerabilities, leading us to iterate several times to ensure the contract was safe and efficient. * Deployment challenges: Working with local tools like Ganache or Ethereum testnets required troubleshooting connectivity issues with MetaMask and web3.js. ## Blockchain Network Latency * Transactions on the blockchain, even in a test environment, had some delays. This impacted the user experience as task updates were not always reflected in real-time. * Solution: We implemented loading indicators to notify users about the pending transaction status. ## Frontend and Blockchain Integration * Connecting the frontend with the smart contract through web3.js was tricky. Handling asynchronous calls properly while maintaining a smooth UI experience required careful management. ## Limited Resources and Time Constraints * Building a complete end-to-end blockchain solution in a limited amount of time was demanding. Prioritizing core features like task management and basic blockchain interactions while leaving advanced features (e.g., token rewards) for future iterations was a key challenge. ## User Accessibility with MetaMask * Some users experienced difficulties setting up and connecting MetaMask wallets to the local blockchain. This introduced a learning curve for team members unfamiliar with blockchain tools.
