What challenges are you focusing on? BaseVote focuses on addressing the following challenges in educational elections: * Voter Fraud: Preventing fraudulent voting practices to ensure election integrity. * Lack of Transparency: Enhancing the transparency of the voting process to build trust among students. * Tamper-Proofing: Protecting votes from manipulation and ensuring they are immutable. How does your submission address this challenge? BaseVote is a Web3 voting application designed to facilitate secure, transparent, and tamper-proof elections in educational institutions. By providing a reliable and trustworthy voting platform, BaseVote has the potential to: * Increase voter participation: Encourage more students to engage in the democratic process. * Build trust in student governance: Foster a sense of fairness and accountability in school and college elections. * Promote digital literacy: Educate students about blockchain technology and its applications. Challenges we ran into One of the primary challenges I encountered during the development of BaseVote was ensuring the user-friendliness of the application for students who may not have a strong background in technology. To overcome this, I focused on creating a simple and intuitive interface that guides users through the voting process. Additionally, I incorporated educational resources to help users understand the concepts behind blockchain technology.
