Why are you participating for Based Africa? Recently, while visiting an art gallery, I was struck by the thought that many incredible pieces might never reach a wider audience. Some of these artworks may never see the light of day. That’s when the idea came to me—what if I could create a platform where artists can digitally sell their artwork to collectors using on-chain transactions, giving these pieces the exposure they deserve? How it's made

What challenges are you focusing on? A.Vaults addresses two major challenges: limited global exposure for African art and the lack of financial empowerment for African artists. Many artists struggle with visibility and access to global markets, and traditional platforms do not offer transparency in transactions. A.Vaults aims to create an inclusive platform that allows African art to gain recognition worldwide while providing artists and collectors with an easy, decentralized way to buy, sell, and collect art through secure, transparent blockchain technology. How does your submission address this challenge? A.Vaults is an on-chain blockchain platform dedicated to promoting African art by enabling artists to tokenize their work and sell it globally as NFTs. This ensures transparency, security, and fair value for their creations. The platform empowers African art collectors and creators by providing a decentralized marketplace that eliminates intermediaries, reduces fraud, and guarantees authenticity. A.Vaults allows artists to retain more profits and control over their work, while collectors can confidently invest in African art, knowing it has verifiable provenance. Challenges we ran into As a solo builder transitioning from a Web2 background, I am currently facing challenges in integrating a seamless user experience with blockchain technology. To address this, I have decided to collaborate with Web3 experts to bring their specialized knowledge into the project. This collaboration will help refine the platform’s functionality and ensure that the vision for A.Vaults is fully realized, providing an intuitive and user-friendly experience while leveraging the power of blockchain. Together, we aim to overcome these obstacles and turn this vision into reality.
