Auto Yield Portfolio Manager
ever wondered if your lp doesnt give you yield??... we will !! having our own Liquiidity on our own Chain using Avalanche L1
About
The problem it solves DeFi investors today face a fragmented, manual experience when chasing the highest yields across lending platforms like Aave and Compound. Yields fluctuate constantly, and manually moving funds between protocols is time-consuming, risky, and often expensive due to gas fees. Chainlink Auto-Yield Portfolio Manager solves this by offering: - Automated Yield Optimization: Funds are automatically reallocated to the lending protocol offering the highest APY. - Non-Custodial Safety: Users retain control over their deposits while benefiting from automated management. - Gas-Efficient Portfolio Management: Instead of users manually moving funds, a single smart vault handles it securely via Chainlink Automation. - Transparent Real-Time Dashboard: Users can track vault performance, current protocol allocations, and rebalance history. It simplifies yield farming for passive DeFi investors while increasing efficiency and safety.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Building this project came with several interesting hurdles: Mock APY Oracles: Since Chainlink doesn’t provide live APY data for lending protocols, I had to create mock contracts to simulate fluctuating APYs. Solution: Built lightweight mock lending protocols with adjustable APY values and plug-in interfaces to mimic real protocols. Chainlink Automation Registration on Local Networks: Automation requires a compatible registry setup, which isn’t available out-of-the-box on local Anvil networks. Solution: Simulated the keeper trigger using manual calls for the local demo and reserved Sepolia testnet for real Automation tests. Handling Token Transfers in Rebalancing: Managing token approvals and reentrancy risks during protocol switching was tricky. Solution: Implemented OpenZeppelin’s ReentrancyGuard and safe ERC20 transfer patterns to mitigate risks. Frontend State Sync During Rebalance Events: Keeping the UI state consistent after backend changes through Chainlink Automation required careful event listening and state management. Solution: Used Ethers.js event listeners and polling strategies in React hooks to update the dashboard in near real-time.
