About
The problem it solves The traditional music industry is broken—artists struggle to earn fair revenue, listeners have limited ownership rights, and middlemen take the lion’s share of profits. The problems are deep-rooted: Unfair Artist Compensation – Streaming platforms and record labels take massive cuts, leaving artists with as little as 12% of total revenue. Payments are often delayed for months, and artists have little control over their earnings. Lack of Direct Fan Engagement – Listeners support their favorite artists, but they don’t get any true ownership or rewards in return. There’s no way to invest in music like an asset. Centralized Control & Censorship – Platforms own the distribution, deciding who gets visibility and what music is monetized. This stifles independent artists and limits creative freedom. Piracy & Rights Management Issues – Artists constantly lose revenue due to unauthorized distribution and inefficient royalty tracking. How AudioBlocks Fixes This AudioBlocks decentralizes music distribution, monetization, and ownership using blockchain, giving artists and listeners full control. 🎵 Direct & Instant Payments – Smart contracts automate royalty distribution, ensuring artists get paid instantly and fairly. 🎧 Music as an NFT – Tracks are tokenized, allowing fans to own, resell, or stake music to earn rewards. 🌍 No Middlemen – Artists release music directly to listeners, eliminating gatekeepers. 🔐 Immutable Rights & Ownership – Blockchain ensures transparent royalty tracking, reducing piracy and disputes. AudioBlocks transforms music into a decentralized economy, where artists thrive, listeners invest, and ownership is fair & transparent. User Interaction and Data Flow 1. **Artist Uploads Music** - Artists upload tracks, which are **minted as NFTs** with metadata like ownership rights, royalty splits, and pricing. - Files are stored **decentralized (IPFS/Filecoin)** to ensure permanence and accessibility. 2. **Music Discovery & Purchase** - Users browse the platform, **stream previews**, and buy music NFTs. - Smart contracts **automatically distribute payments** to artists and contributors. 3. **Ownership & Monetization** - Buyers **own** the NFT and can **resell, stake, or license** their music assets. - Artists receive **royalties on every resale** through automated smart contracts. 4. **Streaming & Rewards** - NFT holders can **grant streaming access** while earning revenue. - Users engaging with the platform receive **governance tokens** to shape its future. 5. **Secure & Transparent Transactions** - Transactions occur **on-chain**, ensuring transparency and eliminating intermediaries. - Payments settle instantly in **crypto (ETH, USDT, or native tokens)**.
