About
The problem it solves - Permanent Proof of Attendance People can use it to have a verifiable, tamper-proof record of their participation in events — something paper tickets or QR codes can't guarantee. - Secure & Forgery-Resistant Blockchain ensures attendance records cannot be altered or faked, making it safer than traditional check-in systems. - No More Lost Tickets NFT badges live in the attendee's crypto wallet, meaning they can't be misplaced, damaged, or forgotten like paper tickets. - Better Engagement Organizers can reconnect with verified attendees and offer personalized invitations, rewards, or discounts for future events. - Portable & Universal Attendees can showcase their badges across platforms — as credentials, collectibles, or part of their online identity.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into - Wallet Connection Issues At first, MetaMask wasn't detecting our dApp in the browser because window.ethereum was undefined. I discovered that MetaMask needs to be installed as a browser extension, and the site must be served over http://localhost or HTTPS for detection to work. Solution: Installed MetaMask in Chrome, ensured our development server was running locally, and added error handling in useWallet.ts to guide users if MetaMask isn't found.
