Anichess Puzzles
Chess with a drop of magic
About
The problem it solves Most Web3 games are: Casual click-to-earn titles with no depth or long-term appeal. We want to make Anichess Puzzles a fun, deep, and lasting alternative — while also showing how games can become one of the best ways to onboard millions of users on-chain. 1) Strategic Thinking, Made Accessible - Chess is one of the world’s most popular strategy games (700M+ players) but is often rigid and time-consuming. - Anichess Puzzles reimagines it with spells and short puzzles, letting anyone experience strategic depth in under 2 minutes. 2) Healthier Daily Habits - Instead of passive scrolling, players engage in puzzles that sharpen focus, memory, and pattern recognition. - Our Daily Puzzles create a positive ritual that supports mental clarity and reduces digital burnout. We feel it is more important to proof product market fit (activation and retention then referral) before we spend effort to build more componnets on-chain. How it's made
Challenges we ran into I'm a technical Product Manager, and this project was mostly solo by myself without strong engineering background. So there were many technical challenges with the actual building. I've used combination of AI Models to build this mini app but it was many hours of learning. In terms of business problems: 1) Distribution, we mainly use X and we're not on App/Google Play store due to restriction/resource challenges. - we are looking for web3 partners to spread the word - we publish on base app :) 2) Finding out real product market fit as we are seeing users that may be potentially bots or users creating multiple accounts(by creating new wallets to gain incentives such as referrals) - have comphrensive analytics via posthog to analyse user behaviour to spot bots and ban/block - we have built incentive for single accounts that have more game history(if you completed x puzzles, and play daily, you get more leaderboard points, this de-incentivies users to create many accounts)
