How it's made

Challenges we ran into I lost one of my laptops a week before the competition and the other a few days after the competition started. Other challenges were Deployment Issues with OpenZeppelin Upgrades Problem: Encountered a TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'deployProxy') during deployment. Solution: Resolved by properly configuring the @openzeppelin/hardhat-upgrades plugin in the Hardhat configuration and ensuring all dependencies were correctly installed. Wallet Integration and Balance Management Challenge: Implementing a seamless wallet connection experience while managing the default ANC token balance for new users. Solution: Developed a system that automatically assigns a default balance of $100 in ANC tokens to new users, with clear documentation that this is a demo setting that can be adjusted for production. Data Verification Reliability Challenge: Ensuring accurate and reliable verification of ancestral information through Chainlink oracles. Solution: Implemented multiple verification layers and fallback mechanisms to handle cases where external data might be incomplete or unavailable. User Experience for Non-Technical Users Challenge: Making blockchain technology accessible to users unfamiliar with cryptocurrency or blockchain concepts. Solution: Created an intuitive interface with clear instructions and tooltips, abstracting away the complexity of blockchain interactions while maintaining transparency about the underlying technology.
