Alea Network
Infrastructure for the next generation of betting

About
The problem it solves TLDR: Alea turns every sports play, live stream, or stat into a bettable market. Betting has evolved but the infrastructure behind it hasn’t. Odds are still manually priced. Market creation is closed. Resolution is fragmented. And there's no standard way for apps, sportsbooks, or platforms to plug into a system that handles all three: pricing, creation, and settlement. Alea fixes that. We’re building the base layer with AI generated odds, on demand market creation, and programmable resolution delivered through simple APIs. ParlayX is our first product. It’s a fully functional sportsbook where users can place bets, build parlays, and engage with new kinds of markets including prediction and live stream embedded bets (Twitch, Kick, Etc..).
How it's made
Challenges we ran into The development of a liquidity provisioning protocol on chain was rather difficult since we had to consider how locked up capital would play in an ecosystem where we see a lot of deposits and withdrawals from liquidity providers. We devised a bookkeeping system for each individual liquidity provider, where we assess how each person's liquidity is locked and against what batch of ongoing bets. While this is a temporary remedy for the issue, we realize that it's not exactly scalable in the case of potentially thousands of liquidity providers. We are currently working on v2, a tokenized approach to consolidate all deposits into our pool, which would directly address the scalability problem. In regards to the frontend, we use Base's unchain SDK to spin up wallets for on ramping our users. We had some difficult maneuvering around how to database these keys alongside user credentials. Currently we query our odd lines using several data provider APIs, but we want to in the future develop a way to verifiably query data as well as generate our own in house odd lines ourselves on chain.
