About
The problem it solves AIbased.app solves the growing problem of complexity and inaccessibility in onchain creativity and AI-powered content creation. While AI tools and blockchain platforms are evolving rapidly, there’s a gap where the average user, artist, or community builder struggles to mint, share, or own their AI-generated content onchain — either due to technical barriers or lack of intuitive platforms. AIbased makes this process effortless: It simplifies the experience of creating and minting AI-generated images and content. Users can generate, preview, and mint AI art in just one click — directly on Base. No technical knowledge, gas complications, or wallet confusion. The platform empowers communities to experiment, remix, and mint with purpose, transforming Web3 into a space where creativity is not only shared but owned. By lowering the barrier to entry, AIbased brings the power of AI x onchain tools to everyone.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into One of the most significant obstacles we faced during the development of AiBased was integrating AI-generated content with dynamic NFT smart contracts on the Base blockchain in a way that maintained both performance and cost-efficiency. Generating high-quality images with external AI APIs introduced latency, and combining that with on-chain interactions created a fragmented user experience. To overcome this, we developed a custom queuing system that pre-fetches and caches AI-generated assets, allowing us to decouple image generation from the minting process. This not only improved responsiveness but also enabled us to mint NFTs without requiring users to wait for generation to complete. On the smart contract side, we implemented dynamic metadata updates using Base’s efficient transaction model, letting us reflect real-time changes (e.g., rarity scores or AI evaluations) without high gas costs. Another challenge was striking a balance between innovation and security. Since we’re dealing with dynamic NFTs and analytics, contract complexity was growing rapidly. We tackled this by modularizing our contract architecture and prioritizing audit-friendly design patterns, ensuring maintainability while preparing for formal audits in the future. Finally, working with AI APIs meant dealing with unpredictable rate limits and outages. To mitigate this, we added fallback logic and diversified our AI providers while laying the groundwork to train and serve our own models once we secure funding. Each obstacle helped us refine our architecture and strategy. These constraints pushed us to be more creative and efficient, ultimately shaping AiBased into a more scalable and user-friendly platform.
