Zerocheck optimizations for IrreducibleSelected Project 2 · $1,500
Prize details
**Description:** Accelerate our benchmark for the zerocheck protocol. The input is 3 multilinear polynomials---a, b, and c---over GF(2) with 24 variables each (2^24 coefficients). The protocol checks that the values a(i) * b(i) - c(i) = 0 for all coordinates i in the boolean hypercube. Variations of sumcheck that send more than 2 elements in the first round are allowed (ie. univariate skip), as long as the first round message is at most 1,024 GF(2^128) elements. The benchmarks runs on an AWS c8g.2xlarge with 8 vCPU and 16 GiB RAM with an ARM64 Graviton processor. **Requirements:** - The prover is correct: your modification passes the verification test embedded in the benchmark. - The benchmark is at least 2x faster than the default provided. The benchmark code is: https://github.com/IrreducibleOSS/binius/blob/zk-hack-berlin/examples/benches/one_bit_zerocheck.rs

**Description** Accelerate our benchmark for the big field sumcheck protocol. The input is two multilinear polynomials---a and b---over GF(2^128) with 18 variables each (2^18 coefficients), along with a random challenge point r. The sumcheck computes the sum over the boolean hypercube of (a(i) * b(i) * eq(i, r)). The benchmarks runs on an AWS c8g.2xlarge with 8 vCPU and 16 GiB RAM with an ARM64 Graviton processor. **Requirements** - The prover is correct: your modification passes the verification test embedded in the benchmark. - The benchmark is at least 2x faster than the default provided.
